Claire Callahan
Writing Tutor

About Me
As a college student, I have less experience than most tutors for hire, but the upside is that I will be more empathetic and relatable to teenagers and kids. It wasn’t long ago that I was filling out college applications, working on middle school writing assignments, and even scribbling in my first-grade journal.
I've learned how to teach people close to my own age through my leadership positions as a high school writing tutor, a marching band drum major, and an outdoor (this year, Zoom) trip leader at Dartmouth. I've learned that writing and teaching are my two greatest talents and passions, and that I have a knack for tutoring with clarity and kindness. Working with a tutor is probably the last thing a high school student wants to do, but in my experience, we usually end up laughing together.
